Works commissioned by SW Euro-election lead candidate David Taylor RMA 62 enabled conversion of the ex-local authority playbus into a formidable campaign tool – for a two month grass-roots tour of the South West, hoping to inspire the electorate to reconsider their traditional political ties.
Running on 100% recycled cooking oil, the Big Green Bus helped Rupert Read contest the by-election in Norwich North, 2009.
When the Beatles released their No.1 Album, a compilation of hit singles which helped define the golden age of British rock 'n' roll, EMI France commissioned a fleet of Big Red Buses to converge on Paris. Promoting this iconic release through Brest, Lyon, Rennes, Le Mans and Lille, our Big Red Bus toured city centre's and supermarket forecourts.
As a veteran of Glastonbury Festival and experienced lighting-cameraman, Joe and his Big Red Bus were on-hand to provide the production facilities, set back-drop and film studio for Channel 4's inaugural coverage of this iconic festival. Filmed in 1994 and 1995, with on-board guests as diverse the legendary Johnny Cash, Channel 4 produced over 10 hours of live coverage enthralling over 1 million armchair fans and confirming the festival as the nation's best loved.
Shortly after Tony Blair's contemptible decision to invade Iraq in 2003, Joe was asked to assist the Brent Stop the War Coalition contest a local By-election. Lending their not-insignificant influence and campaign know-how, the Baghdad peace bus team helped consolidate a united anti-war platform, campaigning with loudspeaker PA and inviting on-board debate.“We had an amazing day out.
